▪ In the evening: 409 years after his death, the interest in the figure of the Bárd does not settle down: William Shakespeare is one of the greatest superstars of all time - and not just on stage. Pikli Natalia Shakespeare wrote an exceptional monograph on the English playwright and theater maker in many ways, which, in addition to the precise summation of Hungarian and international research in recent decades, shows with her strong female viewpoint the limited available professional work in Hungarian. And especially because Shakespeare is not treated as an untouchable, distant, foreign saint, but as an eternal contemporary, capable of rejuvenating from generation to generation, who can easily address today's high school and university classes. As well as the author of the monograph, who has made it a definite requirement for today's young people to convey an understandable and enjoyable Shakespeare image.
With Natalia Pikli, the habilitated professor of ELTE BTK, the author of the book Tamás Jászay, assistant lecturer of SZTE BTK, talks with critic and editor.

Radnóti's evenings started in the spring of 2022 at the newly opened Kari café in the Café Radnóti. The aim of the event series is to create entertainment and connection opportunities for people living in and around Szeged with their impressive guests and interesting topics. During the semesters, we always apply four times, sometimes focusing on the guests and their way of life, and sometimes on a theme. This year, the focus is on young people.
